2011 Biography:
"The 'Bike-O-Visionaries' Jan and
Liz Hunter were both born in Washington D.C. (albeit at different times), and have since lived all over North America including
Mexico, The Virgin Islands, Maryland, Virginia, Wisconsin, Idaho and California. Since meeting and combining their talents
in graphic arts, video and audio, they have co-produced many works including a real estate tv show in the Virgin Islands (on-going
for 10 years on ABC), art-instruction dvds, graphic arts projects, several music cds and cinema advertising, among other
works.
Since 2005
they have immersed themselves into the creation and perfection of the Bike-O-Vision cycling video series. The two of
them handle all facets of the production, from planning and travel arrangements to the shooting, editing and dvd authoring
and on through all marketing and public relations. They enjoy the enthusiasm of their new audience toward such an interactive
experience “... we always welcome feedback!”, says Jan. In fact it has been user input that has continued
to help make the “journeys”, as each disc is called, as popular as they are today.
Perhaps their greatest challenge has been to get the word
out about Bike-O-Vision and they say that they get e-mails and phone calls just about daily from indoor cyclists that say
“I finally found you! I’ve been looking for something like this for so long!”.
Liz especially enjoys the traveling aspect of
these productions and says “I’m excited to be producing something that is not only fun but has a very positive
health benefit too.” Besides her work with cycling videos, she also enjoys creating culinary delights such as
her latest batch of peach chutney, and helping international causes such as Citizens Commission on Human Rights and Youth
for Human Rights. Jan enjoys board sports, reading, and recording music. They currently reside in the North Bay
area of California with Liz’s mother, their cat, and other family nearby, about which they say“...[its] a great
home-base- and so near to some of our favorite locations to shoot more video”. Many of these areas can be seen
in California Wine Country, Napa Sonoma Wine Country, California Coast, California's Pacific Coast Highway and San Francisco
Bay. Meanwhile, the future looks front-lit as they plan to continue traveling the planet in search of more lonely roads
winding through gorgeous scenery."
