Q. I can't view
the Bike-O-Vision video clips. What do I need to view them?
A. If you can not view our online video clips, make sure you have a "Flash Player"
which can be downloaded for free at: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ If that's not an option please see some of
our clips at: www.youtube.com/user/ridebikeovision
Q.
"Full" screen or "Wide" screen dvds? Which is best for you?
A. There are two common TV screen shapes that most
folks will recognize — the squarish shape of conventional TVs, and the widescreen shape of today's HDTVs. The
term used to describe TV screen shape is aspect ratio* — conventional TVs, and some small LCD HD TVs have a 4:3 aspect
ratio known as "standard screen" or "full screen"; and widescreen HD TVs have a 16:9 ratio similar to
a movie screen ratio.
Both "full" and
"wide screen" dvds will display and look good on both monitor types.
Q: Does the speed in the videos slow down when you go uphill?
A: Yes! And it speeds up going downhill.
Q: On the Try-A-Ride clips on your site, they seem kind of slow (or kind
of fast). Why is that?
A: Don’t worry, the’re just right
in the context of each ride- it really depends on the road, the incline, how wide it is and the surroundings. Sometimes,
lots of vegetation like low-hanging branches will make it seem like you’re really going fast and vice versa on a really
wide-open flat road. We usually travel between 15-25 mph. Once you try Bike-O-Vision for a while, you will feel
like you’re actually there, biking down the road.
Q:
How long are they?
A: The latest wide screen and Blu Ray journeys are
the longest at 90-112 minutes long, with the exception of #10 Grand Tetons Wyoming, which is 77 minutes.
The full screen rides are mostly 74 minutes long, with the exception of #1 European Sampler, which is 35 minutes.
Q: Do they come with music? What kind of music do they have?
A: Yes! The music is all up-tempo, instrumental (no singing) and varies from title
to title. It has a wide range from contemporary “workout” music with techno and rock beats to jazz, country,
folk, new age, blues, latin, caribbean, and symphonic/orchestral. You'll hear an average of 30 different upbeat music cuts on each
cycling dvd.
In general, the themes tend to go with the landscapes. For example, the St. Croix
U.S. Virgin Islands dvd has a lot of Caribbean music with steel pans, polyrhythms, and uptempo guitar music while background
music for Hawaii’s Big Island is more Pacific rim/ Asian and yet still has an “island” feel. Also
there is some “accent music”, such as drum-and-fife pieces in Historic Washington D.C. and Maryland, which
add to the specific mystique of a particular location.
Q: Can I
turn the music off and use my own?
A: Certainly. Just play your
favorite cd or radio station in the background instead.
Q: Can I
buy these in stores?
A: Very few retail stores currently carry Bike-O-Vision.
If you prefer to buy from a physical shop, your local bike shop can special order them from their distributer, but you’ll
likely be paying full price without the multi-pack discounts we can offer directly from this website or ebay.
Q: Do you ship to Canada? How much is the shipping?
A:
Yes! The shipping is extra and you must order from our Ebay store at: http://stores.ebay.com/Bike-O-Vision-Virtual-Cycling-DVDs
Please allow an extra few days for shipping.
Q: Do you ship to
other countries?
A: Possibly. People all over the world are
now getting involved with doing Bike-O-Vision workouts and we’ve sent dvds to over thirty different countries, mostly
Canada, UK and Australia. Please go to our Ebay Store:

Q: Do you carry PAL (European format) dvds?
A: Yes! We are pleased to say we have all the full screen titles
except for St. Croix available in PAL. None of the wide screen are available in PAL. We do not carry SECAM format.
However, nowadays many dvd players and tv’s in countries outside North America are international and will play all formats,
such as all the rest of our (NTSC) titles. 2012 Multi-format International DVD players are very inexpensive, starting as low
as $35 see link below.

Q: I’m an indoor cycling instructor and I want to use these for my classes.
How do I know what’s coming up ahead to make the workout fit the video?
A:
Try our Guide PDF’s. You can download them (free) from our site. They tell you what’s coming up ahead
according to the time on the dvd player, how steep the hills are up or down and other interesting facts about each ride, making
you the authority on each journey. To make of use them, you can print them or read them from a portable device such
as a tablet.
Note: not all the dvd’s have guides yet, please refer to the site to see which ones are
available. Also, a few of the Blu Ray discs may not exactly match the times in the guides.

header on the checkout pages. If you have any further problems just give us a call and we will take your order over the phone.
