Austria’s capital, Vienna is a thriving, modern city with a powerful history of music, culture and art. You get a lap around the magnificent inner city’s Ring, seeing famous highlights such as St. Stephan’s cathedral, Mozart’s apartment-house, the State Opera, The Museum Quarter, fine palaces and more. This is done in uncrowded Bike-O-Style at a natural pace.
Before Vienna, warm up on the cypress-lined road en route to the roman ruins of Carnuntum, interestingly flanked by futuristic windmills. Next you’ll bike through the cute, walled town of Hainburg an der Donau. Then after Vienna you can huff up a mountain to an alpine winter-sports town called Semmering and back down with mountain views, passing through traditional villages Maria Shutz and Schottwien. You’ll also travel through Burgenland’s splendid countryside in Morbisch am See and Rust near the marshy Neusiedler See (a large lake). And finish the journey neatly in Baden bei Wien, famous for its sulphurous spas. Note: Because of Vienna’s musical history, the soundtrack to this video contains plenty of upbeat classical music to enhance the enchantment! A 60-minute world-class workout.
