Peekaboo Loop Bryce Canyon National Park
Stride through a maze of towering, glowing red-orange canyons with unbelievable views around every bend- hence the name “Peekaboo”! You really have to see this video to believe how amazing a hike it is– definitely in America’s top-ten hikes list. Bryce Canyon National Park has other famous paths, but if you have to choose only one, this is it!
Starting at 8300’ at Bryce Point, you’ll descend clay switchback trails, through an arch and around hairpin-bends for one mile to the very bottom of the famous canyon. From there, you’ll thread your way around, up and down through the largest amount of hoodoos (eroded rock spires) in the world. You’ll then pass through some surprising twists in the trail and even a few more arches. After completing the 3-mile Peekaboo Loop, there’s still a mile of climbing uphill to complete the route while the evening sun blazes fire-red on the rocks until you emerge, victorious! One hour exactly.
