Much of Scotland is very attractive so where to explore can be hard to decide.
This video gives a balance of several choice locales. Northward in the highlands, Glen Coe’s steep range is absolutely spectacular so of course the ride through it is enthusiastically included. The pedal from Fort William in a light rain to Ben Nevis (the UK’s tallest mountain) is also wildly scenic with high peaks above and playful lambs bouncing through the meadows below.
The Tweed River south of Edinburgh is world-renowned for its fly fishing of salmon and trout. While away the day biking through some of the Tweed Valley’s pretty towns like Melrose, Kelso and Selkirk. This is postcard-perfect countryside, highlighted by the eerie ruins of Dryburgh Abby, a William Wallace monument, historic castles and more.
The Ayrshire coast near Girvan is very remote-feeling until you find yourself going by a Trump golf resort and then at a well-restored castle. Surprises like this await from the highlands to the valleys and between for 60 minutes!
