Louisiana Cajun Country!
The Creole Nature Trail is a rare “All American Road” and now you can be cycling it with this video as your guide. Many wading birds dot the expansive marshes and gators really do swim its swamps, as you’ll see. Some of the side views feature mirror-like reflections of the southern skies between the lily pads and cat-tails.
Elsewhere, Palmetto Island gives a good example of a bayou-au-natural with undisturbed cypress swamp scenery and yet more wildlife. Morgan City and Franklin provide a realistic feel for the small towns along the the Bayou Teche Trail, a very important and spicturesque river system within the Mississippi delta. A bit of New Orleans French Quarter is thrown in to this gumbo for flavor.
Additionally, a short run alongside the historic battleship Alabama on Mobile Bay Alabama rounds it out- a patriotic finale.
And of course, the soundtrack is GREAT- its a carefully-chosen mix of New Orleans jazz, down-home blues, rambling acoustic country and bouncy zydeco! Fun for 56 minutes.
