Between Napa and Sacramento are some really nice areas well-worth pedaling yourself through in further quests for aesthetic fitness fun! Seven rides through parts of Yolo, Solano, Sutter, Napa and Colusa counties may astound you with off-the-beaten-track beauty.
Start in the cute town of Winters (fittingly filmed on a warm February day) and then go up Capay Valley with plenty of fruit and nut trees and wild redbuds blooming brightly like it was spring! As the valley continues it narrows along Cache Creek where fields of yellow wildflowers carpet the steep hills above.
More town footage takes you through Woodland, followed by a short jaunt along a levee along the Sacramento River.
More of that river can also be ridden to the east of Colusa, winding through blossoming orchards with captivating views of Sutter Butte, “the smallest mountain range in the world”.
