Walnut Canyon, White Sands, Chiricahua & Malpais Arizona and New Mexico
Spirit-lifting beauty awaits you hiking for a whole hour through very remote backcountry here in Arizona and New Mexico!
Over 700 years ago the Sinagua Pueblo people inhabited the steep cliffs of Walnut Canyon National Monument. Now you can walk along these very ledges and see the actual remains of their dwellings and imagine how they lived.
Another unique landscape you’ll trek through is White Sands National Park, in the southern reaches of New Mexico. Shuffling through the cool, pure-white gypsum sands over great wave-like dunes is truly otherworldly, and we welcome you to try it here!
An extension of our Chiricahua Bike-O-Vision journey is this Echo Canyon trail that will have you weaving through some of the strangest rock spires and formations in Arizona. Just watch that the wind whipping through doesn’t blow you off-trail!
El Malpais National Monument in western New Mexico is also worth a visit for scenic climbs up rugged sandstone bluffs.
